CalculatorZ: Math Puzzle – Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
1. Who we are
This policy explains what information the CalculatorZ: Math Puzzle mobile game collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. The game is also known as CalculatorZ.
The game is published by Meb Games ("we", "us"). It covers the iOS and Android versions of the app. Our website has its own policy at mebgames.com/privacy-policy.
Questions or requests about your data: [email protected].
2. Information we collect
You can play without creating an account. When you open the game, it signs you in anonymously so your scores can be saved; an account with email is optional.
| Information | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Player ID (an anonymous Firebase user ID) | Always | Identifies your player on our server |
| Player name | Always (a default name such as Player4821 is given; you can change it) | Shown on the leaderboard |
| Best scores per mode and difficulty | When you play | Saving progress and the leaderboard |
| Email address and password | Only if you create an account or sign in | Lets you keep your progress across devices. The password is handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store it. |
| Device identifier (a one-way hashed version of the identifier the operating system gives the app; never the raw value) | Always | Restoring your player after you reinstall the game |
| Remove Ads purchase status and the store transaction ID | Only if you buy Remove Ads | Verifying the purchase with Apple or Google and removing ads on your account |
| Advertising data: device and app information, IP address, ad interactions, and the advertising identifier where you allow it | When ads are shown | Showing ads, measuring them, preventing fraud (handled by Google AdMob) |
| App usage and diagnostics: app opens, sessions, app version, device model, crashes | When you use the game | Keeping the game working and understanding how it is used (handled by Firebase) |
| Your consent choices for ads | When the consent form is shown | Respecting your choices |
Some data stays only on your device: sound setting, chosen difficulty and mode, and a copy of your best scores.
We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or payment card details. When you share a score, your device's share sheet sends it; we do not receive what you share or who you share it with.
3. How we use information
We use the information above only to run the game:
- provide the game, save your scores and restore your progress;
- run the leaderboard and your player profile;
- manage your optional account, including sign-in, sign-out and account deletion;
- verify and deliver the Remove Ads purchase;
- show ads, and measure and protect them from fraud;
- fix problems, keep the game secure and improve it;
- configure the game remotely, for example the server address or an update reminder.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
For players in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the legal bases are:
- performance of a contract: running the game, your account, the leaderboard and purchases;
- legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, diagnostics and improving the game;
- consent: personalized advertising and the use of your advertising identifier, which you can withdraw at any time (section 6);
- legal obligation: keeping purchase records where the law requires it.
4. What other players can see
The leaderboard shows your player name, your best score and your rank to other players with an account. Your email address is never shown to other players.
Player names must be unique. Do not use your real name or anything personal as your player name. You can change it at any time in Profile.
5. Services we use
These companies process data for us to run the game. Each handles it under its own privacy policy.
| Service | Company | What it does | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firebase Authentication | Anonymous and email sign-in, account deletion | firebase.google.com/support/privacy | |
| Firebase Remote Config and Google Analytics for Firebase | Remote game settings, app usage and diagnostics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy | |
| Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform | Rewarded and app open ads, the ad consent form | policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses data from apps | |
| Cloudflare | Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosts our game server: player profile, scores, leaderboard and purchase records | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
| App Store and Google Play | Apple, Google | Payment for Remove Ads and purchase verification | apple.com/legal/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy |
We do not give your information to anyone else, except when the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
6. Ads, consent and tracking
The game is free and shows two kinds of ads through Google AdMob:
- app open ads, shown at most once every four times you open the game;
- rewarded ads, shown only when you choose to watch one to unlock a hint.
Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland). Before ads are loaded, Google's consent form asks whether ads may be personalized. You can change your choice at any time in the game's settings menu, under Privacy options.
Tracking on iOS. The game uses your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow it in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking. If you do not allow it, ads are still shown but are less personalized.
Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in your device's Google settings.
US state privacy laws. Personalized ads may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some US state laws. You can opt out with the in-game privacy options (where shown), the device settings above, or by contacting us.
Remove Ads. After you buy Remove Ads, app open ads are no longer shown. Rewarded ads stay available because you choose to watch them.
7. In-app purchase
The game sells one optional item, Remove Ads. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play; we never receive your card or payment details.
We receive the store's transaction ID and the product bought. We send them to Apple or Google to check that the purchase is real and not refunded, and we record it on your player so ads stay removed. The purchase belongs to your store account: you can get it back on a new device with Restore.
8. How long we keep data, and deleting it
We keep your player profile, scores and purchase record for as long as your player or account exists. Server logs are kept only for a short time, for security and troubleshooting. Google keeps advertising and analytics data under its own retention rules.
Delete your account in the game. Open Profile, tap Delete account, and enter your password. This permanently deletes:
- your account and email address (Firebase Authentication);
- your player name, scores and leaderboard entries;
- the purchase record linked to your player.
The game then starts again as a new anonymous player. Deletion cannot be undone. A Remove Ads purchase stays with your App Store or Google Play account, and you can get it back with Restore.
Without an account, or by email. Write to [email protected] from the address you want deleted, or include your player name. We will delete your data within 30 days. Uninstalling the game removes the data stored on your device.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data (access and portability);
- correct it, for example your player name, which you can also change in Profile;
- delete it (section 8);
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- withdraw your consent for personalized ads at any time (section 6), without affecting earlier use.
In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
In California and other US states with privacy laws, you have the right to know, delete and correct your data, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To use any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires, and may ask you to confirm you own the account.
10. Children
The game is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account or given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
All traffic between the game and our server uses HTTPS. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, and the server accepts requests only with a valid sign-in token. Your device identifier is stored only as a one-way hash. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
12. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where the law requires, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the game or on our website before it applies.
